Big day tomorrow, America!

Wednesday, July 1 will mark a big day. We're about to be reminded once again that our lives need not revolve around government. The vast majority of residents of states like Illinois and California will wake up tomorrow morning same as always, go to work, take care of the kids and meet their responsibilities.

Meanwhile, thanks to their new budget thousands of additional Massholes will drive to New Hampshire to buy stuff. Michigan is still hopeless, with tens of thousands of Michiganders moving to places like Texas and North Carolina over the next year.

This budget is great news for New Hampshire. There will be lots of new faces in Nashua.

This here Masshole already does most of his shopping in New Hampshire. The sales tax increase in Massachusetts is just the start. Our governor wants to raise the gas tax, and the legislature is trying to increase the income tax rate. Anything to avoid living within our means.

And it's happening just as Massachusetts is losing the "Taxachusetts" reputation. If my state goes nuts with tax hikes I'm out of here.

We have our own spending problems, of course, but MA sure is neighborly to help us out like that!

A 25% sales tax increase. Holy moly.

If you read the comments in the Worcester Telegraph article you'll see people complaining that Massachusetts is "becoming like California."

This is coming at all of us, so no use in picking on Massholes or Californians. My question is simple:

What the hell are they doing with all of our money?

Actually, no. That's not the question. We know what they are doing with the money. Bloated pensions, union featherbedding, expensive projects that no one wants except the contractors that pay off the elected officials. My question is: Why are we continuing to allow this by reelecting the same jackasses year after year?

At this point, the collective Baby Boomers aren't qualified to manage a sidewalk lemonade stand, let alone a state government.

Just wait, when these idiots are out of positions of power, there will be a golden age of sorts in this country.

I don't know what they do with our money, Lou- no matter what they take it's never enough and we never have much to show for it. They're insatiable gluttons and I'm completely fed up. I wish I knew what I could do about it.

Even with our tax increases in NJ, we don't look near as much as a basketcase as NY.

Of course, did anybody notice how much money they must have spent on pens alone signing the bill to help the budget. Irony.

Nothing changes until they hit bottom...believe it or not they are not there yet...but the folks have to throw the bums out, and probably stiff the unions in bankruptcy court. The auto unions were smart to be at the front of the line, but every state, city, county, school union wants to get something also and it ain't going to happen.

Everybody's wages will deflate.

Skilled labor is an asset class just like housing or stocks.

Forget any previous contracts when your employer tears them up in bankruptcy.

Lou, would you take a "registered warrant" from California?

Would any other businessperson here?

The pace of new regulation here in CA is stunning.

The other day a company I work with was posting signs with pictures in their bathrooms showing how to wash your hands. How many seconds to hold your hands in the water, how to soap up...

Companies are becoming neurotic with all of the agencies watching over them.
