Why do the ChiComms even try?

I've been reading ChinaHush a lot lately. I don't know why the CPC even bothers with the censorship now. Reading ChinaHush is like reading any western news source... soccer riots at Hanghai stadium, trust fund kids, drunk politicians, hooters, bad planning. When Chinese news reads like it could have happened in any western country, going to absurd lengths to hide this stuff is dumb.
